In this course, the student will learn to skipper a keelboat on their own with the goal of passing the on-the-water checkout and becoming a Sail Chicago skipper.

A Sail Chicago skipper has access to Sail Chicago boats for private use.  After this course, the student will be able to confidently skipper a keelboat in varying conditions, exercise proper judgment, and coordinate a crew appropriately.
